What do you call a person you tell all your dreams and they always understand you, no matter how difficult you may seem?

What do you call a person who listens to you cry?  
Never asking what is your point, they just listen and add a little sigh.  

What do you call a person who makes you laugh when you're down?  

They always know just when you need them to be around.  

What do you call a person who is there through thick and thin?  

I know that I wouldn't call them a fair-weather friend.

What do you call a person who stays loyal when everyone else has failed? 

They are always consistent, at times they are persistent, and if ever you make a mistake they do not dwell.

I know what I call my person, the person who really cares.
