Feel the Same

Been in love only one time, gave him my heart and soul.
Didn't think about my feelings involved just let him take control.

I thought that he was the one for me and together we would always stay.

Then everything changed, life had shifted and he just went away.

I never thought I could be with someone else the way I was with him.

But then another came and I realized that real love would just begin.

It felt so right and to be perfectly honest, I believed this one cared for me.

Then to my surprise it was just an act only for me to see.

All that we had done in a short span of time we had been together

A piece of my heart thought he felt the same but I guess I wasn't so clever.

Despite our natural mental connection, he was attracted to another so I guess I can't complain

And even though I wished them well, my heart doesn't feel the same...
