Freedom

Every year, at the end of July, I am always thinking about freedom.  What it means to me and what do I need to start implementing in my life so I can obtain true freedom?
Not what other people believe is freedom, but what I know freedom means to me...

While it is easy to think of money first and the many things that could be fixed by having it, I have lived long enough to know that while money is a tool it is the things that are absolutely free in life that liberate me.

The true love shared with family and friends.  The giggles and smiles of children were created by the people I adore.  The ability to provide nourishment and to nurture myself as well as the people I have been assigned to.  The comfort of knowing that some know they are assigned to care for me.

Somedays freedom feels like the ability to walk to my kitchen and fill a cup with water.  The ability to raise that cup to my mouth with no assistance and effortlessly swallow.  True freedom is taking NOTHING for granted.
Even in my journey to be truly free (mentally), I understand that I am standing in absolute freedom at this very moment.
