| The Crush |
When was the last time you had a crush? Does the new generation even have crushes anymore?
When I was growing up, the closest you got to a crush was hanging a poster on the wall but now there is social media and you can vocally inform your crush that you are crushing on them.
Now, the problem I see with this is, that people don't understand how old school crushing works. They have modernized it and while I love being able to say directly to my crush that I think they are the most handsome, I think they are charming and all of the other good things that make you crush on someone, I equally don't give a fuck. I honestly don't know how to explain it.
Real life is real life and while I will rep for my crush all day every day, I am not delusional. I am not a fanatic and I want my crush to live a fruitful and blessed life with all the people that exist in their REAL LIFE.
Back in the day I never had to consider if my crush's real-life girlfriend would be mad at me for having a schoolgirl crush on them. Do you think Pauletta worries about all the women that droll over Denzel?! No, she does not. She was busy raising their children and tending to their reality.
I am madly in love with my man and every now and then a celebrity will be crush-worthy and I get over it in due time. Hence the definition of "crush",
