Long Live,

Artist Unknown

I didn't tell you I was dying because I wanted to enjoy the rest of my life.
Had I reminded you of the inevitable,  you would have focused on the loss and not the time that we had in front of us.

Long Live the love we shared
Long Live the moments we laughed, the memories that were created and the pieces of our hearts that will never be the same having survived the loss of one another.
Long Live our spirits and the peace it brings to encounter God's things like butterflies and cardinals in the Spring as a reminder that we all are connected in one way or another.
Long Live our names and the lips that speak them, the lips that never let us truly die because they remember us so loudly that those who never met us carry forward the stories they've heard about how we dared to love right.
We lived like we remembered that people may not remember what we've said, but they will always remember how we made them feel so we made them feel like magic!

Long Live the hope we implanted, Long Live the dreams we encouraged, and Long Live the safe space we provided for all to come as they are.
Long Live our names, long after our bodies...
